What is it Like to be a Child at Echoes?
All children have a dedicated key person to support them and you with the transition into nursery. Free settles will be arranged individually to suit your child’s needs, there are no set amount as every child is unique and responds in different ways.
We recognise parents as their child’s first educators, your child’s key person will be the link between home and nursery and other settings that your little one attends. They will plan invitations to play, based on the children’s interests and schemas. We use an online learning journey to record development and milestones, you are able to support your child’s portfolio by adding exciting news or achievements that have happened at home. We gather evidence to support your child’s progress check at 2 years 2 months and any transition documents required for their school entry profile. We are a “let’s talk more” championed setting which enables us to support children and identify any gaps in speech and language development.
The children have access to our thoughtfully designed garden, we go out in all weathers and operate the ethos there is no bad weather just bad clothing, splashing in puddles is one of our favourite activities and a fantastic learning opportunity!
